Danny Casolaro

On August 10^th, 1991, investigative journalist Danny Casolaro was found dead from an apparent suicide inside of the Martinsberg Sheraton in West Virginia. Danny had traveled to West Virginia to meet a source with information about a mysterious group he called the Octopus. In the weeks leading up to his death, Danny received multiple threats on his life and even warned his brother that if anything should happen to him not to believe it was an accident. Yet only a few days later, Danny’s lifeless body would be found inside of a hotel bathroom, both of his wrists deeply and repeatedly slashed.

The Circleville Writer

In 1976 in the small town of Circleville Ohio, residents began to receive anonymous letters that described personal and often damaging details about their lives. This continued for several years with over a thousand letters received. Eventually, this would lead to at least one death, accusations of a police coverup, attempted murder, and a possible case of wrongful imprisonment. The author of these letters is still unknown.
